Day-wise Itinerary
DAY 01 — WELCOME TO ALMATY
Arrival at Almaty airport and pickup after arrival formalities. A refreshment snack box will be provided. Transfer to hotel for check-in and free time to relax. Evening transfer to a local restaurant for dinner followed by a free walk in the city. Experience a local horse-meat tasting during dinner (regional specialty). Overnight stay in Almaty.
DAY 02 — SHYMBULAK & ALMATY CITY TOUR
Breakfast at the hotel. Ascend to Shymbulak by cable car up to 3,200 m (via Medeu and intermediate stations) — enjoy mountain scenery. Lunch, then proceed to Almaty city tour visiting Republic Square, Abai Theater, Panfilov Street and the Walking Street. Transfer to restaurant for dinner and overnight in Almaty.
DAY 03 — CHARYN CANYON EXCURSION & SATY VILLAGE
Breakfast and check-out (bags may be stored at hotel). Transfer (~3 hours) to Charyn Canyon — explore the canyon formations and Black Canyon area (approx. 2 hours exploration). Lunch boxes provided. Continue to Saty Village and check in at a local guesthouse. Enjoy a homemade dinner and overnight at Saty Village.
DAY 04 — KAINDY LAKE & KOLSAI LAKE
Breakfast and check-out. Transfer by Soviet-period vehicle to Kaindy Lake parking 1, then eco-taxi to parking 2. Walk ~10 minutes to Kaindy Lake and enjoy the surreal submerged forest scenery. Lunch en route and proceed to Kolsay Lake for more alpine views. Return to Almaty (approx. 4-hour drive) with a dinner stop. Overnight in Almaty.
DAY 05 — GREEN BAZAAR & KOK TOBE
Breakfast at the hotel. Almaty city tour and shopping: Park of 28 Heroes, Zenkov Cathedral, Green Bazaar (local shopping) and chocolate factory shop. Lunch, then visit Kok Tobe Park via cable car (one way) and enjoy panoramic city views. Dinner and overnight in Almaty.
DAY 06 — DEPARTURE
Breakfast, check-out and a light snack box provided. Transfer to Almaty Airport for your return flight. Tour concludes at airport drop-off.
