Built by the Portuguese in 1555 and gifted to the Raja of Kochi — famous for its magnificent Hindu murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranas.
Jewish Synagogue & Jew Street
Built in 1568, one of the oldest active synagogues in the Commonwealth. The hand-painted Chinese floor tiles are unique worldwide. Closed Fridays and Jewish holidays. Jew Street alongside is a charming antiques and spice market.
St. Francis Church

Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls cascade in dramatic multi-tiered drops beside the highway. The air grows noticeably cooler as elevation increases — a refreshing contrast after the coastal heat of Kochi.

Home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr — the stocky Himalayan wild goat found here in large, approachable herds. Sprawling shola grasslands and spectacular views of Anamudi (South India's highest peak at 2,695m). Entry fee payable locally.
Mattupetty Lake & Dam
A serene high-altitude reservoir surrounded by tea estates and shola forests. Boating available (payable locally). The dam overlooks a vast valley — one of Munnar's most peaceful spots.
Echo Point
A natural echo phenomenon at a lake-side clearing — your voice bounces back clearly across the water. Surrounded by mist-draped hills and tea gardens, it's one of Munnar's most visited spots.
Kundala Dam
A picturesque arch dam at high altitude, fringed by pine and eucalyptus forests. The surrounding landscape has a distinctly temperate feel, quite unlike the rest of Kerala.

Early morning departure for Kanyakumari (~100 km · ~2 hrs) — the southernmost point of mainland India, where the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea converge in a breathtaking display of colour and current.
Vivekananda Rock Memorial
Built on a rock island 500m offshore where Swami Vivekananda meditated before his historic speech at the 1893 Parliament of World Religions. Reached by ferry (payable locally) — the meditation hall and Vivekananda's statue are deeply serene.
Amman Temple (Bhagavathy Amman)
The sacred Kumari Amman Temple, dedicated to the virgin goddess, stands at the very tip of India. The presiding deity's nose ring is said to be visible even from the sea. Specific dress code required — dhoti/sari preferred.
Confluence of Three Seas
Stand at the very tip of India where three bodies of water meet — each a distinct color and current. The trisagam (meeting point) is uniquely dramatic at sunrise and sunset when the colours of the three seas are most visible.
🌅 Thiruvalluvar Statue
The 133-foot statue of the Tamil poet-saint Thiruvalluvar stands on an adjacent rock island, representing the 133 chapters of his celebrated work Thirukkural. One of Tamil Nadu's most dramatic modern monuments.

Spend your remaining time browsing Trivandrum's famous Chalai Bazar or SMS (Statue — MG Road — Spencer Junction) shopping stretch for Kerala spices, handloom fabrics, Kasavu sarees, wooden handicrafts and ayurvedic products.

Padmanabhaswamy Temple: Strict dress code applies — men must wear dhoti, women sari or salwar. Timings vary by day; plan visit to match morning/evening pooja schedule. Entry for Hindus only.
Houseboat AC timings: Houseboat AC is operational approximately between 10 PM and 5 AM, as per houseboat operator rules and power availability on the waterways.
Itinerary flexibility: Sightseeing sequence may change due to local conditions, traffic or temple timing. Eravikulam Park may have restricted access during Neelakurinji bloom season (every 12 years).
Jewish Synagogue: Closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Jewish holidays. If your Day 1 falls on a Friday, this sight may be skipped or rescheduled.
Best time to visit: September–March for clear skies. Kerala receives heavy monsoon (Jun–Aug) — houseboat and outdoor activities may be affected. Book early for year-end holiday season.
