A well-paced North-to-Central Vietnam trip combining Hanoi's heritage, a scenic overnight cruise in Halong/Lan Ha Bay, and highlights of Da Nang and Ba Na Hills.
Day-wise Itinerary
DAY 01 — HANOI ARRIVAL & HALF DAY CITY TOUR (PVT + SIC)
PVT pick up from Hanoi airport and transfer to hotel. SIC half-day Hanoi city tour with local lunch (note: flight should arrive before 09:00 AM). Sample schedule:
- Local lunch at our recommended restaurant (vegetarian options available).
- Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake (oldest pagoda in Hanoi).
- Temple of Literature (Van Mieu), Vietnam’s first university (founded 1070).
- Hoa Lo Prison Museum (French-era prison and war history).
- Return to hotel. End of tour.
DAY 02 — HANOI — HALONG / LAN HA BAY (SHUTTLE) — OVERNIGHT CRUISE
Shuttle pick up from hotel in the morning. Transfer to Tuan Chau marina and board La Pandora cruise.
- Welcome aboard with a refreshment and cruise briefing.
- Special Vietnamese seafood lunch while sailing through islets.
- Cruise through Lan Ha Bay; kayaking and swimming (optional).
- Anchor for overnight. Sunset party, cooking demo (spring rolls) and dinner onboard. Overnight on La Pandora.
DAY 03 — HALONG — HANOI (SHUTTLE) — TRANSFER TO DANANG (PVT)
Sunrise on the sundeck, morning activities and visit Dark & Bright Cave by local rowing boat.
- Light breakfast. Excursion to caves by rowing boat.
- Return to cruise; relax and check-out.
- Lunch on board. Disembark at Tuan Chau marina and shuttle back to Hanoi.
- Arrival in Hanoi. PVT transfer to airport for flight to Da Nang (flight should be after 19:00 if same day). PVT pick up from Da Nang airport and drop to Da Nang hotel.
DAY 04 — BA NA HILLS (SIC) — FULL DAY WITH LUNCH
Pick up from hotel. Ascend Ba Na Hills via UNESCO-record cable systems. Highlights include:
- Golden Bridge (Hand of Gods).
- L’Jardin zone with French-style architecture and Old Villas.
- Linh Ung Pagoda and 27m Buddha statue.
- Fantasy Park (indoor games) and lunch at Debay station. Return to city by evening. drop off at hotel.
DAY 05 — DANANG DEPARTURE (PVT)
Morning after breakfast, check out and PVT transfer to Da Nang airport for onward journey. Trip concludes at airport.

- Shuttle transfers: Hanoi ↔ Halong (as specified).
- PVT — Pick up from Da Nang Airport and drop to Da Nang Hotel.
- SIC — Full Day Ba Na Hills Tour with local lunch.
- SIC — Half Day Hanoi City Tour with local lunch.
- Overnight on La Pandora cruise in Halong/Lan Ha Bay (as per cruise itinerary).
- Transfers and sightseeing by comfortable A/C vehicles.
Important Notes
- Flight timing notes: day-1 arrival should be before 09:00 AM for the half-day Hanoi tour; transfer from Hanoi to Danang assumes connecting flight times allow same-day transfer.
- Cruise and cable car operations are weather dependent; schedules may change for safety reasons.
- Water activities (kayaking, swimming) are optional and payable locally when applicable.
- Meals mentioned as 'local lunch' or 'onboard' are included where specified; other meals are not included unless noted.
- Visa, passport validity and entry requirements are the passenger's responsibility.
